A generous space not only for offices and shared workplaces, but also for cultural, educational and sports institutions, galleries, shops, cafes and restaurants will be created on more than 27,000 sqm. The E Factory building will gradually undergo a total reconstruction, the aim of which is to improve the technical standard and at the same time preserve the unique industrial character of this national cultural monument. Thanks to the phasing of the works, all activities and the operation of the building will be respected even during the reconstruction.
The establishment of the Pragovka area dates back to the beginning of the twentieth century and was directly connected to the rise of the Czech automobile industry and the famous automobile factory, which produced the legendary Praga cars since 1909. The E Factory building itself was built in the years 1930-1933. To this day, it has been preserved in its authentic form and since 2003 it has been protected and recognized by the National Heritage Institute as a Czech heritage site.
